Overview

A new home, duplex or granny flat needs a new or upgraded connection to the network before anyone can move in. Get the supply right early and the project runs smoothly; leave it late and it can hold up your occupation certificate.

We work with owner-builders, builders and developers across Sydney on new connections, from the network application to energising the supply.

How a new connection works

Every new connection starts with an application to Ausgrid or Endeavour Energy, who confirm what's needed. For most homes, duplexes and granny flats, the work is a new or upgraded service from the existing street mains, which is Level 2 work we do from start to finish.

When the network has to be extended

If there's no suitable supply in the street, the network needs extending first. That's designed by a Level 3 ASP and built by a Level 1 ASP. We'll tell you early if your site falls into that category so you can plan the time and cost.

Duplexes and granny flats

A second dwelling usually needs its own metering, and sometimes a larger supply to the lot. Getting the supply arrangement right at design stage avoids rework later. We're happy to talk to your builder or designer before plans are locked in.
