Overview

Electric hot water is one of the biggest energy users in most homes. Running it on an off-peak, controlled-load circuit can noticeably cut the cost of heating it.

We wire the circuit, prepare your meter panel and work with your retailer so the switch to off-peak is done properly.

How off-peak works

Off-peak, or controlled load, puts appliances like electric hot water on a separate circuit that only runs at times set by the network, usually overnight. Energy on that circuit is generally billed at a lower rate than general power.

Who does what

We wire the controlled-load circuit and prepare the meter panel and switchboard. Meters themselves are arranged through your electricity retailer's metering provider, and we coordinate with them so the circuit and meter are set up together.
